SentientWorks AI was founded in 2023 by a team that ran operations at mid-market companies and kept running into the same problem: the automation tools they evaluated were either too rigid to handle real-world exceptions, or too opaque to trust for anything that touched financial data or compliance. We built the platform we wanted to use.

AI automation is only trustworthy when it shows its reasoning
A black-box automation that "probably works" is not a tool your finance or compliance team can rely on. Every agent action we ship writes a legible record: what it did, which tool it called, what rule it applied, and what evidence it used to reach a decision. That's not a feature. It's the precondition for trust.
Operations teams should own their workflows, not depend on IT to change them
The people who understand a workflow best are the ones who run it every day. SentientWorks AI is designed so an operations manager can define, test, and adjust a workflow without writing code or opening a ticket. IT stays in the loop on integrations and security. The ops team owns the logic.
Every exception is information, not just a failure
The most valuable signal in any automated workflow is what caused it to pause. A vendor code mismatch, a payment amount outside tolerance, a certificate that expired: these are not edge cases to suppress. They are the data your team needs to improve its processes. We treat exceptions as first-class events, with structured context, routing, and a permanent record.
Speed and auditability are not in tension
The conventional wisdom is that you can move fast or document carefully, not both. We reject that. An agent that writes its audit log as it runs is not slower than one that doesn't. The log is a product of the architecture, not an afterthought. Getting to an auditable run takes the same time as getting to an unauditable one.

Marcin spent his career in operations leadership at logistics and B2B distribution companies, running AP, procurement, and vendor compliance teams. He co-founded SentientWorks AI after being unable to find an automation tool his ops team could trust with real financial data.
Priya specializes in distributed data pipelines and event-driven architectures, built over years of shipping production data infrastructure at enterprise software companies. At SentientWorks AI, she designed the agent orchestration layer and audit log architecture from the ground up.
Daniel built his career running vendor management and exception handling operations at a mid-market manufacturing firm before joining SentientWorks AI. He works directly with pilot customers to configure their first workflows and shapes the product roadmap based on what those teams actually need.
